Uno mas taqueria8/27/2023 Was driving by and saw this little storefront restaurant/bar so stopped in for some lunch. Coming from San Diego (taco town), I think it is impressive-Funny, the owner is from Encinitas (San Diego County) so it all makes sense. Final note, it is family friendly, casual, a little loud and somewhat tight in space. They have a nice bar, they offer excellent mexican drink options including a solid variety of tequilas. I am told the Dulce La Leche cake is the bomb, my son eats here frequently, we were just too full. The Churros are insanely good, I love that the oil was fresh so they tasted especially delicious. Chips were solid-always a staple to test. The salsas were all delicious, they offer three and each is unique from hot to mild. The brisket tacos were smoky, you either like this or you don't, just an FYI. The Pork Belly tacos were fantastic as well, the meat is crispy and all the flavors went together harmoniously. I liked everything I tried, at minimum, the preparation, freshness and quality was outstanding.) I especially like the Sea of Cortez Tacos and the Duck Tacos (surprisingly as I normally do not order Duck). The flavors are bold, the chef really offers a variety of flavors and delivers. At minimum, the food quality is excellent and service is great (granted service can vary). I love it, I know opinions vary but I just can not see how it could receive a rating less than a 4. This place challenges your palate and paradigm of street tacos. This is not the typical "Mexican" restaurant, do not plan to visit if you want the average taco or traditional mexican menu.
